Visit Tucson (President of The Food Capitals Network) recently brought their local flavors to fellow member city Chicago for activation events, demonstrating how member cities can elevate each other’s culinary identity and visibility.

While in Chicago, Visit Tucson's delegation engaged with journalists, industry leaders, and local partners. Chicago’s gastronomic landscape provided an ideal platform for Tucson to share its distinctive food story.

A taste of Tucson on wheels

Chef Mateo Otero and his team from Rollies in Tucson shared their unique recipes and flavors, delighting Chicago audiences. This approach showcased the power of culinary experiences to build cultural bridges and spark new connections.

The visit reaffirmed the value of cross-city exchange at the heart of The Food Capitals. By activating in each other’s markets, member cities like Tucson and Chicago are creating opportunities for shared visibility, culinary diplomacy, and global storytelling.
