The Food Capitals by Délice Network is the international network of cities committed to using food and gastronomy as powerful tools for economic and sustainable urban development, cultural identity, urban well-being, and city attractiveness.
Founded by Lyon in 2007, our non-profit organisation connects cities that are innovating in food culture, food policy, and food systems. Through annual gatherings, study tours, collaborative projects, and ongoing exchange, we build a community that learns together, shares best practices, and shapes the future of food and gastronomy.
The Network gathers over 25 Food Capitals from around the world. Each city brings its own traditions, innovations, and food culture: together we multiply our impact.

Bon Appétit America! Lyon and Tucson Celebrate 250 Years of French-American Friendship Through Gastronomy
What happens when America's first UNESCO City of Gastronomy meets France's gastronomic capital? For one remarkable week, Tucson and Lyon answered that question through food, friendship, and cultural exchange.
Through collaborative projects, annual gatherings, study tours, and continuous exchanges, our network fosters a dynamic community where cities learn from each other, share best practices, and co-create innovative solutions for the future of food and gastronomy.
We invite cities that share our commitment to food-driven urban transformation to join us in shaping a better food future.
