Sustainable Gastronomy Week (SGW) returns to Malmö from 11 to 16 June 2026. Initiated by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), it aims to raise awareness of sustainability in food systems.
The Sustainable Gastronomy Week in Malmö is more than a food event: it is a special moment for collaboration, learning, and positive change. Bringing together public and private food actors, local producers, educators, researchers, and the wider community, the Sustainable Gastronomy Week explores how food can contribute to a more sustainable future. Through workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and inspiring real-world examples, the event highlights regenerative, circular, and socially sustainable food practices. Participants will discover innovative approaches to reducing food waste, promoting local and seasonal ingredients, strengthening community resilience, and using food as a tool for social change.
