The Disgusting Food Museum invites visitors to explore the world of food and challenge their notions of what is and isn’t edible. Could changing our ideas of disgust help us embrace the environmentally sustainable foods of the future?
The exhibition features 80 of the world’s most "disgusting" foods. Adventurous visitors can smell and taste some of these notorious delicacies. Do you dare smell the world’s stinkiest cheese? Or taste sweets made with metal-cleansing chemicals?
Matkaravan, Food Caravan, has led guided food tours in Malmö and Skåne for over 20 years, strengthening the connection between food, people and culture.
Working closely with Malmö’s food scene, the tours take guests behind the scenes to explore the city’s diverse culinary traditions.
Along the way, participants taste their way through Malmö’s past and present — discovering its vibrant, multicultural food DNA.
Malmö Food Council works to elevate the city’s vibrant food culture by strengthening a transparent, inclusive and sustainable local food system. By bringing together individuals and organisations across sectors, the council sees food as a key driver of positive change.
Through shared knowledge and collaboration, it promotes a deeper understanding of Malmö’s food landscape and advances food as a strategic tool for social, environmental and cultural development.
