Bordeaux 2016

The impact of food and beverage venues on city marketing and economic or touristic growth

2016 was an important year for Bordeaux, the emblematic wine city in the southwest of France!

The city development strategy is today more than ever focused on gastronomy.
All eyes were on Bordeaux this spring with the 6th edition of "La Fête du Vin," a large-scale cultural event around wine and culture (June 23-26) and the inauguration of "La Cité du Vin," the new museum dedicated to wine in the city center.

From November 17 to 19, a large audience from all over the world was expected to meet and discover how one of the most famous wine capitals promotes its gastronomy. The specific topic was: "The impact of food and beverage venues on city marketing and economic or touristic growth."

The program planned some great work sessions based on members' experiences and external experts.
SO'GOOD Festival was also a highlight of the Délice meeting. The delegates had the chance to see some of the great activities Bordeaux offered to visitors on local gastronomy.

This key event of the network allowed member cities to share experiences and exchange know-how through working meetings and site visits.

In the press: "Bordeaux hosting a Délice Event" (FR).
