The 22nd Busan International Food Expo (BIFE 2025) and the 8th Busan Marina Chef Challenge (BMCC 2025) were held from September 26 to 28 at BEXCO, Busan, attracting over 35,000 visitors and 490 chefs from Korea and abroad.
Under the theme “Delicious Busan,” the Expo showcased Busan’s culinary diversity and its ambition to become a leading global gastronomy city. The event was hosted by the City of Busan and featured more than 200 booths across multiple themed zones, including the Michelin Pop-up Zone, Vietnam Special Pavilion, Local Food Hall, and Bakery & Cafeteria Zone.

The Busan Marina Chef Challenge, accredited by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS), brought together chefs from 12 countries to compete in live and exhibition categories, including the new K-Food Festival competition, focusing on sustainable salmon dishes and traditional Korean table settings.
Mayor Park Heong-joon remarked that the event “made Busan’s autumn even more special” and strengthened the city’s status as a global gastronomy destination.
