Gladmat 2026, taking place in Stavanger from 24–27 June, is Norway’s largest food festival and one of the city’s most anticipated annual events, combining a lively public atmosphere with professional arenas dedicated to innovation, debate, and sustainability. For four days, Stavanger’s waterfront, streets, restaurants, and public squares are transformed into a vibrant celebration of food, bringing together local producers, acclaimed chefs, restaurants, and food lovers from across the country. Visitors can explore a wide range of local specialties, street food, seafood, international cuisine, cooking demonstrations, family activities, and culinary experiences.

This year’s festival places an even stronger emphasis on local food producers, with a larger local food market and more opportunities to meet small-scale artisans from the Rogaland region. New additions include Gladmatskolen, where young people present and sell their own food creations, and the return of the popular Gladmat trails that guide visitors through different food experiences across the city. Festival favourites such as Kokepunktet, Barnas Gladmat, Eple & Humle, Pedersgata, and Gladmatnatt in Fargegata also return, making 2026 a diverse and inclusive edition.
