In June 2026, The Food Capitals HQ visited the Lyon Street Food Festival, which celebrated its tenth anniversary. The festival aims to make fine dining accessible to as many people as possible. Combining fine dining with art and culture, the festival is a joyful and festive event where the spotlight is firmly on artisans and their products.
The Lyon Street Food Festival aims to introduce people to street food, share a love of quality food, and bring different regions and audiences together. Having attracted hundreds of thousands of festival-goers and hosted iconic chefs, the festival has established itself as the largest of its kind in France. This year, the festival celebrates its 10 year anniversary. On the programme: over 200 exclusive recipes and more than 130 chefs, including Michelin-starred chefs, street food artisans and talented bistronomes from every continent.
The Food Capitals HQ visited the festival and stopped by to taste the special street food creation by Carla Kirsch of Alebrije in Lyon; Carla was part of the inaugural Chefs Beyond Borders at the Food Capitals Summit in Castelldefels.
